Authentic Woman's Parental Support Programme supports parents of primary and secondary school children in line with the 'Every Child Matters' and 'Every Parent Matters' outcomes.
As stated by Alan Johnson Secretary of State for Education and Skills (2007/8) in the 'Every Parent Matters' document:-
"Parents and the home environment they create are the single most important factor in shaping their children's well-being, achievements and prospects. We know that the overwhelming majority of parents want to do the very best for their children. We know that the majority say they expect to need advice or help at some time or another … parents are demonstrating a growing appetite for discussion, information and advice, as we see from the ever increasingly vibrant market in television programmes, magazines and also websites.

Our programme helps parents to develop in their own lives and provide parents with the tools to discover, clarify and expand their capacity to help them achieve what they want for their life. This programme increases the skills, aspirations and expectations that parents have for themselves, which impacts the home environment, the health and economic well-being of their children. When parents feel better about themselves and believe that they can achieve they are able and better equipped to support their child's aspirations to do well in School.
